Analytics: Google Analytics 4
SaveSanDiego uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how many people visit the site and which pages they use. Google Analytics collects information such as the pages you view, the page that referred you, your approximate location (derived from your IP address), your device, browser and screen size, and interactions such as scrolling and clicks on outbound links.
To tell visits apart, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies in your browser (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID). The information is processed by Google. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Opting out: you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Accounts and issues you share
If you create an account, we store your email address, your full name, a username, and your password in hashed form. A session cookie (ssd_sess) keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. Sign-in and sign-up attempts are logged with the email address and IP address used, to protect the site against abuse.
When you share an issue, we store its title, description, location, category and any photo you upload, linked to your account. Shared issues are visible to visitors of the site.
